Installation Chips on Compatible 414A / 414

Step 1. To disassemble the OEM cartridge's chip


Tools Required:


Procedure:


1. Remove the empty OEM cartridge from the printer, place it backside up on a table, and locate the chip as shown by the red arrow.


2. Using pliers, cut the cartridge rib next to the chip.

3. Using tweezers,  clamp the OEM chip and pull it out in the direction of the red arrow.


Step 2. Assemble the OEM cartridge's chip on the new printer.


Procedure:

1. As shown, place the chip diagonally into the chip slot in the correct direction.



2. Using tweezers, press the chip in the direction of the red arrow; after hearing the click, the chip is inserted into the slot.

3. If the chip middle line is aligned with the cartridge rib, the chip is installed correctly (as below picture).


4.If the chip middle line is aligned with the cartridge rib, the chip is installed correctly (as below picture).





Important Notices: 


The printer or computer will prompt "Cartridge Low" (as shown below) when you print due to the old OEM chip installed on the replacement cartridge; kindly click "Snooze" and choose "2 Months" to close the prompt.
